youre aggressive... and you check ?? anybody paying attention will think huh ? hes suppose to be aggressive why did he check ? i dont like this play alott i would just bet out something like 7-8k and call a push we prob have the best hand here and so we wanna get more money in here if they fold then you werent gonna get more money anyway if they call then push any turn |

Fox,
You think checking is bad because it'll surprise your opponents? For starters, that's wrong because it's a 3-way pot, but more importantly, who the hell cares? Just do what you think will get you the most chips most often. |

All, This pot is 3-way.. so it's possible for us to c/r and it's also possible for us to get c/red. This spot sucks. I'm not really happy with any of our options, but I think check/push is best. I'd like to here a nice argument for one play over the other. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] This is why I don't like checking. CRAI is great if you know button will bet, but I think button checks behind a lot here. I'd rather get the chips in on the flop than get them in after the turn bricks out. [/ QUOTE ] edited my post for typo |

Re: A 30r hand by Mikej with an interesting flop decesion
Bet because it gets checked through too often if you don't, and being in the same situation on a bricked turn sucks. I don't think you'll see either smooth call your flop bet that often, you're usually either winning the pot on the flop or calling a shove, both of which are fine.
EDIT: I don't care for the smaller bets here, if you're representing a strong hand you have to do it with a bet that's closer to pot-size. |

Thing is, I don't think it's a huge deal if it gets checked through. Maybe I should.
The best hand the button will check behind is like KQ. I can probably shut out that hand on the turn. |

Re: A 30r hand by Mikej with an interesting flop decesion
Is button capable of making a PSB with KQ or A9 if we check? This is what I'm worried about if c/ring... does he price himself in? We then get a reluctant call from someone (who beats us UI) who may have folded flop, don't we?
I like 2/3 pot. |
