my guess, and this is what Id assume is button capped it so he either has AK, AQ, AA, QQ or KK. just do probabilities to see which is more likely.

[/ QUOTE ]
QQ isn't a possibility, I guess I could see KK getting there, however because there's a lot of river cards that can freeze the action, so I don't see AA or AQ playing this way. I will also throw in AJ because of neverwin's loose play. That leaves us with KK, AK, and AJ.
KK - 3 combos
AK - 9 combos
AJ - 12 combos
however, if we presume he will only cap w/ AJs, now:
KK - 3 combos
AK - 9 combos
AJs - 3 combos
9 > 6

This is all well and good, but can the guy make quality lay-downs? People that keep their finger on the raise button make some pretty high quality raises once in a while.

Here's a hand I played against $100-$200 three-handed hand I played against Neverwin on Stars about 18 months ago, from memory (it's going to amount to a bad beat story, sorry):

I have ATo

Preflop: Me - raise
NW - reraise
Me - call
Flop: A T 6
NW - bet
Me - raise
NW - reraise
Me - call

Ha! I'm trapping. I crack myself up.
At this point I figure hes got nothing, AK, AQ or 666.

Turn: T
NW - bet
Me - raise
NW - reraise
Me - reraise
NW - call. <- That's his first and only call!

River: Q
NW - bet
Me - raise
NW - reraise
Me - call.

Neverwin shows QQ.

In my opinion, this counter-balances the OPs sroty about how great he played the original hand. If you want me to believe he's making great reads, show me some good laydowns....

Sorry.

I've sat and played (and lost a lot) SH at least two times against 90VP$IP/50PFR maniacs who were on insane heaters at the time and were able to cashin on more than 120BBs in a single session against the whole table. Luck strikes like that...

Neverwin is way overbanrkrolled for this game--have you ever sat and played limits you were grossly overbankrolled for at the time (e.g 1000B roll for 10/20, but decide to play .50/1)? Most people who do tend to run on the laggy and maniac side of things since the money at play is not meanigful to them. I believe this is what you're seeing here with neverwin, albeit with a sick rush block throw in. Nothing really to get excited over--you'll likely see the flip side of the coin soon if he sticks around, which is losing A LOT of money with that style (assuming he doesn't change gears when he stars running bad).

no I totally agree. he plays like a donkey pretty often- he's often there to catch the "right" card (see his T4 vs. AA hand against Kurosh). The "balance" in his play is that he gets paid off by every tom dick and harry hand ever... i.e. Q high. and he has talked about laying down top pair or other pretty solid showdown hands on the river HU when the opponent raises because, against NW's style, there's "no way" the opponent is bluffing.

Edit: also, you can't "see" an opponent make a great laydown. He just makes it, you never know it, and you go on to the next hand. This is why it cracks me up when someone on the forums says something along the lines of, "a typical 10/20 opponent never folds a Q there". How are you so sure??

i haven't played 1/2 but i'd imagine that style works a lot better versus some since i would have to think there's some scared money in the game sometimes.
