Re: Taking a crack at MLB betting...
[ QUOTE ]
Isn't MLB betting fun!!! 1-3 for -2.03 units YTD 41-42 for -.69 units Cards +122 Nats +149 Braves -106 DBacks +101 Yanks +104 Indians -176 A's +108 Twins -114 General: Lot of bets today, lets see what happens Cards: Like Looper here as well as the Cardinals team over the Cubbies. getting them at +122 makes it that much better. Nats: Hill has pitched better than Olsen. Also, the Marlins have played like crap lately. Good chance for the upset Braves: A great braves team with Hudson on the mound for -106, done DBacks: Fading the Giants. Better pitcher better team and i get them at a coinflip Yanks: It goes against everything I think, but this team is hot as hell and has pettite on the mound Indians: Sabathia vs Edwin Jackson. I dont like laying -176, but this is a pretty strong game A's: Blanton is a good pitcher on a good team, and I don't really like McCarthy or Texas Twins: both pitchers suck. Twins are a much better team, so I'll lay the -114. [/ QUOTE ] My word that's a lot of road teams. I'm no expert at betting baseball, but I'm guessing that mlb road teams who are a -175 or higher favorite is not a fantastic subset. |

Re: Taking a crack at MLB betting...
Alright, finally a nice day. Got two wins I really needed Cleveland and Washington for a 5-3 day for +2.65 Units
YTD 46-45 for +1.96 Units Picks for 4-21-07 Royals +103 Tigers +152 (Runline play) Red Sox -146 Indians -138 A's +101 Braves +126 Mariners +145 Nationals: +152 General: Played a large spread of games yesterday, same today. First time I've played a lot of AL games though, see if we can put together two multi unit win days in a row... Royals: Not real sure about this bet, but I'll take the better pitcher Tigers: I think this is the day they get Nate some runs. Don't like them at -140 but I do like the +150 runline Red Sox: Yanks have a first time starter and they can't hit good pitching Indians: Not a huge Byrd fan, but Seo has been awful A's: better team, better pitcher at +101 Mariners: Ramirez has pitched well, who knows how Colon will pitch in his first start, definate upset possibility Braves: James has pitched well, Atlanta has been great and they are at +126. Oliver is good, but by no means an ace. Nationals: Neither team very good, both pitchers are average or worse. So I'll take the team at +152 |
