Anybody have Olga's Kitchen near them? It is popular around here.
We also have a million Chinese Buffets. When I am very hungry, they are tops, but some people say they use trans-fats, and others joke they use dog and cat meat. I prefer the seasoning and presentation of a P.F. Changs, but for quantity and bargain these huge buffets are hard to beat. What do you like to eat on Chinese Buffets and what do you run away from? Some places try to put American food out, and it looks funny. -J |

Pei Wei is 9/10. It's the cheaper/faster version of PF Changs (owned by the same company). Great food, no wait (ok, maybe 5 minutes), great value. And, the same yummy lettuce wraps as Changs.

Had Braised Beef Canneloni at Maggianos Little Italy yesterday. Was not very happy with it. Sauce was scant, filling was salty, seemed like it was reheated. Not worth $17.95. However, the waitress had it taken off the bill on her own accord without us asking, so this makes this the most awesome restaurant ever because I have never had anyone take a $17.95 item off my bill just because I said it was salty.
We also had the eggplant parmigian which was good, and the toasted pound cake with bananas and ice cream. Both were good. The vanilla ice cream is very good at Maggianos. You can see and taste the tons of tiny vanilla seeds in it. -J |
