I do not understand wtf is with all the teams like UNC taking 3s when they have the last shot in a tied game. I swear ive seen it at least 5 times in this tourney and it makes absolutely no sense esp with Tyler and Wright inside.

Can someone please explain to me yhy, with approx. 2 sec. left, given the choice of throwing a short inbound or baseballing it down the court--I've now seen like 10 teams go for the short pass and half-court shot? Brilliant. (Gtown in this case.)

there is a reason the Hill/Laettner play is so unbelievable - that type of move very rarely works, b/c it's very difficult to simply connect on a long hail-mary pass with people guarding you, never mind turn, shoot it, and get in whatever shot you are left with. lots of things that could go wrong there.

by comparison a short pass, a few dribbles and a half court shot is a reasonable task. a half court shot might be made as often as the hail mary pass alone.

All,

WTF. Seemed like Florida was trying to give that game to Ohio State with all those turnovers and sloppy play. Yet apparently they were just taunting them, since every blocked dunk or blown point-blank shot or intercepted pass somehow ended up with the ball in someone's hands knocking down a three, while Ohio State couldn't make a bucket to save their life.

Also, Oden looks like he's 42. He looks like the OG in the movies who is out of the game and provides sage advice trying to keep the young guys from making the same mistakes. He sure did have some sweet blocks, though. Too bad they just ended up in 3-pointers for Florida.

Oh well.

Scott

PS [censored] the whole state of Florida. Can't we find some recruiting violations to take away both national titles?
