I wonder if Harrah's (or Binions before them) deducts the cost of the bracelet from the prizepool...knowing them, probably

I remember in Positively Fifth Street, McManus talked about how they had changed the bracelets that year so that they were now made from cheaper materials, as one of harrahs cost cutting measures.

[/ QUOTE ]

Harrah's didn't own the WSOP in 2000.

[/ QUOTE ]

If my memory is correct, it was a Becky Binion Behnen(sp) cost-cutting measure.

No. Well I know nothing about the current WSOP, but no that was added by Binion's. Until recently they did not take a cut of the main event.

Humble Pie's post sucked. There have been quite a few bad ripoffs of JOEY. But, this one didn't even have any effort in it.

Read the original.

Fossilman,

Just a weird question; is there any amount of money that you'd be willing to sell your ME bracelet for? I'm talking $5 million+?

LOL. I'm fairly certain the bracelet and what it represents is worth more than five million.

If you offered 300 thousand for a bracelet, you could buy a bunch of them. One of my friends won the main event long ago and I think he sold his bracelet.

Selling the bracelet doesn't change the fact that you won the tournament.
