exactly, i thought i made this clear earlier. i don't care that i paid - i've done that before, and i'll do it again. but this girl just hasn't shown any signs of appreciation or even a gesture of offering to pay for ANYTHING (even a poor college student can offer to pay for a cup of coffee).

haha... well i'll ask her to come over here, watch a dvd or something. if she doesn't want to do that, then i'm definitely not going to 'friendville'... i'll just leave it. she's cute, but not THAT cute.

I think this is a good plan. You can't just have her come over and watch a DVD though, you got to put on the full court press for some action.

Has there even been any kissing involved yet?

yea for sure. i'm not just gonna have her come over, watch a movie, and then kick her out

no real like making-out type of kissing... but we had a quick peck after the end of the 2nd date, which i guess isn't much.

If she is poor, then she would be fearful that he might say, "OK, you can pay". Then she is screwed...

one of my friends was in a relationship for about 2 years. He paid for everything and spent all his money on her. WHen he told her they had to split 50/50 she was totally cool with it.

Personally I like my brothers approach the best.
"I did invite you out so I'll get this, but I don't want you to think I am some sort of sugar daddhy."

I think girls will respect/like you more if you don't pay for everything. The situations changes a lot if there a big difference in finances between you to.

Good grief it is official that I am old. When did women start paying for dates? I have been married for 10 yrs so I am way out of practice on dating, but when I was dating, it was just assumed that the guy was paying. I mean if you don't you look like some kind of loser. I am from the midwest so maybe that has something to do with it.

[/ QUOTE ]
I think the general mindset on dating has changed over the years too. Granted, this isn't true for all people, just apparently the people in this thread.

[/ QUOTE ]

the way to do it is hump the chick FIRST and then treat her to things as REWARDS for doing stuff for you.
