Excalibar, the Plaza, El Cortez, Sam's Town [/ QUOTE ] I bolded the true winner, that should be in any dirty chip discussion. The 'brown' $25 chips at the El Cortez started life a long time ago as green. |

Taj and it isn't close. OK, well, maybe it is close because of the pus story, but the Taj is damn nasty. They got new greens and reds over the summer but I think they're pretty nasty now too. [/ QUOTE ] |

I went to Monte Carlo to pickup a souvenir chip from the poker room. When I asked the cashier for a $1 chip she said "Oh you'll want a new one, let me grab it for ya".
Opened some drawer and there was a rack of cloud white perfectly new chips. |

Well, I overstated the new Taj greens and reds, probably. They were still decent as of December 2006. But people assured me the whites, which are just disgusting, were recently new too.

The Trump at Gary Indiana had (been 2 years since I've been there) chips so nasty that you can pick up a entire stack of 20 whites by the top chip and move it into the rack.

seems like there is a trend:
NON-CA and VEGAS Casinos have the nastiest poker chips (e.g., Mid-West, Atlantic City, and South)... -TheMan (p.s. and the TAJ seems to get the most replies for absolute worst chips!) |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the Majestic Star/Trump is pretty terrible, I'm going to pitch in my vote for that, too. I play there twice a week, unfortunately, and it's easily the worst set of chips I've ever seen. They're sticky, visibly grimy and dirty, and severely rounded on all edges. I think I'm probably just going to start bringing hand sanitizer to use every dealer change or so. ESPECIALLY AFTER THE HERPES PUS STORY WTF |
