Can you elaborate on how to take care of the teapots?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not really but I will try. Logic dictates that you should avoid harsh soaps, probably hand wash tea ware separately and always thoroughly rinse out (say two or three times) all tea ware to wash away all residue and avoid soap scum buildup. Air dry.

I'm more of a coffee drinker, but if i was just drinking tea for a day here's how it would go:

Breakfast: English breakfast. Natch.

Mid-morning: Yorkshire tea + dark chocolate digestive.

Mid-afternoon: Random tea of choice. For me this is often Lapsang Souchong, which I don't think has been mentioned. It's my favourite non-standard tea. Flavoured with woodsmoke. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapsang_souchong

Evening: Back on the yorkshire. Great to play poker with.

I love green and white teas, but my experience so far has been limited to bagged variations. I am sorely tempted to experiment with the ingenuitea infuser and some samples from their site. Is loose leaf tea really that much better than bagged? Or am I really even going to be able to tell?

My experience is that good, quality looseleaf tea is quite a bit better than teabags.

Supposedly so...

Interesting. I had heard about a recent journal article that found that adding milk to tea destroyed tea's antioxidants, but this is news to me.

What I wonder is this: If you drink your tea black but eat a bowl of cereal with it for breakfast (or eggs, or cheese), do you still lose the antioxidants?

Just got a package today which is the ingenuitea pot I think. Will give a review when I pick it up.

I agree in general, but I think the bigger difference is between low-quality and high-quality teabags. Try a store barand orange pekoe and than a cup brewed from a bag of Twinings English Breakfast, and the difference is pretty substantial.

Nothing is as good as the loose tea I've had, though.

Great thread! I have recently replaced my soda addiction with green tea no sweetener, eliminating the 180 calories per soda I was drinking.

Can't wait to try some of the Twinings Gupowder Green mentioned above.

I'd like to recommend Hot Cinnamon Spice tea by Harney and Sons:

http://www.harney.com/hotcinnamonspice.html

It is delicious--it is sweet and delicious without any sugar , carbohydrates or calories and cinnamon lowers blood sugar among other health benefits.

We prefer tea from Fortum and Mason, particularly Assam teas including their royal blend.

If you can find these in your rights-restricted USA, give them a try!
