i saw this hand. i like a fold. as action jeff said, when you're behind, you are disastrously behind. that's the main case for folding. i like the turn bet. -ba

How aggro are you? I know I bet a lot of turns when an ace hits regardless of it hitting me, so if you do this then I would call. How often does aba push his draws?

even though it's an A, this is not the best 2 barrelling card if you have something weak, and a good part of your range will be able to snapcall the shove, so i don't see any reason why he'd be bluffing or semibluffing. and further, there are lots of good hands that he can have. any of the 4 sets, QJ, sometimes AK. so i don't see how you can call this. i wonder what the play is here with AK

Ouch. If I had to guess I'd say your ahead here and to call the all-in. I think he raises flop a lot of the time with QJ, and repops you preflop with AK, AA, KK, and TT (as well as AA and TT being extremely unlikely) and those are the five main hands you are behind. You beat a flush draw, a flush draw + pair, a flush draw + straight draw, air, some smaller two pair, and AQ/AJ. You still lose to 55.

Stinger doesn't really have much to work off of here. I doubt aba raises many hands on this flop, QJ included, and his preflop range is difficult to determine. One of the reasons why this is such a tough spot is because against many realistic ranges Stinger is making a huge mistake by calling.

since they play a lot together, i doubt he either always calls or always raises the flop with QJ, so i don't think we can discredit it.

No way he's raising with a worse hand for value either. If we had AK I'd be skeptical about that statement but with AT I know it's not true.

i agree that this is a lot more difficult if we hold AK, and even then it's still close

i hate it but i cant see this being a semi bluff often enough to justify a call, since he's not betting a worse hand for value here and we're in big trouble against his made hands

With what frequency had you been firing the second shells in previous hands? If he saw you doing this with reasonable frequency then I could see him making a move with a range you conceivably beat. From what we're given it seems he's disguised a strong hand well and youre beat.

the only thing he can have that you beat is QdTd. Less often he'll have same ATo. Even less, the A5.

Fold.
