I thought the performance was under par until Purple Rain, which made up for it (by halftime show standards). Also, he had already recorded that Foo Fighters cover and Dave Grohl has recorded a Prince cover as some sort of an homage to eachother.

Best Halftime show of recent years was Paul McCartney.

i thought it was pretty awesome when he was siloutted behind that huge white sheet, and in profile his guitar looked like a huge wang and balls.

Yeah, we were thinking the same thing at my party. I thought it was pretty sick that he had a Prince-symbol guitar.

He's had that guitar for years, ever since he did the symbol gimmick in the first place.

I'm shocked that people didn't realize that Prince could play a little guitar. My favorite part was when the Florida A&M Marching 100 came on the filed. I have seen them live and they are very entertaining.

Plus, did anyone else scream "WTH, the Aunt Jemima look?" when they first saw his head attire. Don't know what was up with it. Of course he ripped it off his head near the end which I just figured was a slight homage to Janet Jackson.

My sis-in-law immediately deduced that he wanted to hide his treated hair frizzing out because of the rain. Course when he took it off that theory got shot down, but it was pretty funny when she said it.

I thought it was pretty good. He is an incredible talent musically. He had a hip replacement last year so he couldn't dance like usual. Hard to believe he is almost 50. I was really hoping he would finish All Along the Watchtower.

Pretty good show. The rain made it even cooler.

Worst halftime show ever? That was just brutal.

[/ QUOTE ]

it was at least 'good'. calling i the worst ever means you are usually drunk or out getting pizza during previous super bowl HT's.

calling it 'best ever' would be less controversial.
