Just so people stop hating on OP, my Grandma sends me 5k about 3 times per year, like she does for my 2 brothers and my 2 cousins. This is in addition to paying for every dime of my (private college) tuition and every dime of the 2 brothers and 2 cousins college and grad school for whoever wants to go it. I don't think I'll realize how big of a brag this is until about 10 years from now.

I had a rich (and completely insane) aunt who died with ~2 million in the bank because she basically never spent a penny her whole life. Paper plates, plastic utensils for 60 years, etc.

She left all the money to the national park surface [censored] [censored] [censored]

He sends you 10k a year wtf?!?

I mean I know some rich kids but I have never ever heard of this.

Are you they only nephew/niece he has? How much money is he giving out per year in bday presents!?!?

What do you get for christmas (assuming you celebrate that holiday)???

I mean its clear your parents arent poor so its not like hes helping them out since they are paying for your school!!

what is going on here please explain.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah it would suck pretty hard to be given nearly a year's worth of living expenses (to some people...ahem) every year. Elitist scum.

Most schools have some sort of student card you can load with money. Then, offer to buy people's book for a 5-10 percent discount or something. Problem solved.
