Re: NL50 - muck FH ?
Why wouldn't you think KK would play this way? KK thinks they are good on turn for the exact same reason you think AA is good here. JJ and TT think they are good here most of the time too. (maybe not after you call the turn check raise)
I think is basically a zeebo theorem thing. They can't fold a boat that uses boat their hole cards. I can see a nine here too. People are freaking dumb. This is +EV call just based on the fact this is 50nl. Their logic is OMG I HAVE A BOAT GET MONEY IN THERE. |

Re: NL50 - muck FH ?
I don't think you can fold this hand, but I'm also not positive you're ahead here.

Re: NL50 - muck FH ?
The question is are you ahead 1/3 of the time or better against typical 50NL opponents. Even if you see quads 60% of the time here, it would still be +EV to call.

Re: NL50 - muck FH ?
Very good point by madmisha.
I agree with E McW that quads will usually wait to the river to spring the trap. However, I'm less confident that PPs would play this way either. Getting 2:1 you have to call, but it's essentially an expensive crying call. With a particularly good read on how your opponent plays flopped trips / bigger monsters, versus how your opponent values pocket pairs, you can find a fold. |

[/ QUOTE ] The way this was played, do u really think youll see quads less than 60% of the time here? People say that most likely he has 9s or even lower pocket pairs??? This is one of those "have to call" hands that youll lose ur stack on. The only 2 hands I see are a Q and KK with Q being MUCH more likely. BTW, these players dont think their check min raising looks strong. Its just their way to get more $$ in the pot without scaring other players out. |
