I, for one, love your use of ellipses instead of periods.

And the shorthand for "you," "your," and "because," the lack of apostrophes, and excellent capitalization are all particularly endearing.

I have a neteller card, and obviously my eft is still pending. however, it has no ability to cancel(its not lit up). how can i request a debit card transation?

You need to call Neteller and tell them to cancel your EFT.

[/ QUOTE ]

I had a "pending" EFT withdrawal. I called Neteller on Tuesday. I was on hold for about five minutes. They canceled my EFT. I withdrew my money with my Neteller card. I had to do it in three transfers over three days and spend about $18 in fees, but that's okay with me given the situation.

For those of you that are saying "I can't cancel my EFT" you need to just keep asking them. When I called it went something like this:

Me: "I have an EFT I want to cancel."
Him: "Okay just go to the website and click 'cancel.'"
Me: "Okay (I log on, assuming he's giving me the ability to cancel) I don't have that option, it just says 'pending.'"
Him: "Well you should have the money in about two weeks."
Me: "Can't I just cancel it?"
Him: "Let me transfer you to the VIP department."

(on hold for about a minute)

VIP person: "So you want to cancel your withdrawal and just take the money out with your ATM card?"
Me: "Yeah."
VIP person: "Okay...done."

And that was it. You just have to persist with the first person until they transfer you to the VIP department.

Also in regard to ATM's...

Washington Mutual does, in fact, charge a $2 service fee. But they seem to have the highest withdrawal limit at $800. I went to a Citibank one first and their max was $600.

So, Peter North (or is it Matt Ramsey?) call Neteller, ask to be transferred to VIP, and ask to have the EFT cancelled.

When you get your Neteller card, transfer $1,000 per day on to it for twelve days. Your Neteller card balance will be $11,976, because of a $2 transfer fee each time. Withdraw the money in $800 chunks from a Washington Mutual ATM. Each time will cost you $3.50 ($2 to WaMu, $1.50 to Neteller) total in fees. So...

(11,976/803.50) = 14 with 727.00 left over. Make 14 ATM withdrawals of $800 each and a 15th ATM withdrawal of $720.

Your ATM card will now have a balance of $3.50. Go buy something for $2.75 with it (there is a point of sale fee of .75). I bought gas with my leftover Neteller balance.

You will have paid a total of:

(12 * 2) + (3.50 * 15) + (.75) = 77.25 in fees, which is 0.64% of your money. Not that big of deal.

I can't believe I just typed all that out. I need to get a life.

I was just thinking that there's no way in hell this guy got into NYU. I actually missed that he was in his last semester. That makes his story even more unbelievable.

For those of you who have made withdrawls with your Neteller Debit card, did you have to enter a special PIN number at the ATM, or did you have to enter your Neteller secure ID? I've had a card for about a year now, but it's just collected dust in a drawer. I'm at work right now and I can't remember if they sent me a PIN or not.
