I really couldn't care what color they are, as long as they don't give all the credit to The Lord or to God for winning.

That I find distateful.

WTF... there is a huge difference between finding something distasteful and thinking it should be outlawed...

Yeah, because when he says he finds something distasteful, that means he feels people should not be allowed to say it.

Awesome logic.

You're all racist because you can't see what a huge win this is for the colored community. If there were two white coaches in the super bowl none of you would even be posting in this thread.

[/ QUOTE ]

lol....You call everyone racists and then refer to the
"colored community" in the same sentence.

In a way I think too much coverage is insulting, especially if you're black.

QFT

It was a neat sidebar, and if was yesterday's news, it would be fine.

But, by the time the damn media is done, it will demean the talents of both Dungy and Smith, and it will become some feel-good story pitched over and over again.

I think lots of this comes from non-sports reporters covering the superbowl and looking for an angle they can understand.

So, we can thank all the small town non-sports reporters, who, for the next two weeks will be doing the ...."I'm here in Miami, where for the first time ever two African American coaches.......... Oh wait....there goes Herm Edwards. Herm, can we get a comment from you about ...."

The other part that is tough is that it will be hard for the solid, hard-core, reputable sports reporter to write "enough already," without coming off as a racist. Even if his intentions were just the opposite.
