It'd be great if others could add some favorite threads of their own.

I would but then I'd have to kill myself.

Wow, I feel like a kid who woke up on Christmas to find he was given a toy store. I just posted asking what people studied to get specifically good at STT's, and got a few good answers and a great link, and then the next day I see this great link. Thanks for the work, Shadow, and everyone else who contributed so that Shadow could put so many great links together in one place.

As Irie's mentioned, we, as a forum, can do a better job of discussing post-flop play. My OP was pretty weak on the subject. Thanks to Scuba, Irie, and others, I can now add a few more post-flop play threads.

3.3 POST-FLOP

Does anyone think my play is a leak here? a/k/a how not to play Axs

Post Flop Play for dummies - HELP a/k/a how not to get lost playing TPWK from the BB

ATo in the BB which led to Irie's Betting impetus and Betting impetus: some clarification

Who (besides Yugo, whom I don't want to miss, at least now that he's changed his avatar) can suggest some more good post-flop threads?

When will the shadow reveal himself? No way this is a first time poster.

7.4. RECORD-KEEPING

AleoMagus’s SNG spreadsheet (download link in this thread) is good for users with some (very) basic knowledge of MS Excel. It can automatically record tournaments thanks to some clever VBasic macros. It provides comprehensive splits for level, day, and time of day, and calculates a number of statistical performance measures such as ROI confidence intervals. It also tracks bankroll and risk of ruin.

Hood's SNG Tracker is another popular piece of results-tracking software. It can import data from a Poker Tracker database and produce some fine-looking visuals of finish distributions and profit.

Poker Tracker is a commercial program that imports hand histories stored on your hard drive and generates statistics and reports based on them for you and your opponents. Many sites store the HH's on your hard drive automatically, and PT can also import them from emailed tournament summaries. Poker Tracker can be used by beginning players for self-evaluation and by more advanced players as an opponent-scouting tool.

Do SNG players use a spreadsheet in place of PT or as a complement?

Sure, why not?

I had a not quite a organized but fairly contentful 2+2 library by the first time I posted...

Then I made all that missed posting up in a hurry, .

Default Re: ROI and ITM rules of thumb

I'm updating Section 5.2 of my list to add three good threads on ROI and ITM stats:

5.2 ROI AND ITM%

Pokerscott's SnG ROI Confidence Intervals--Monte Carlo results ***REPOST***

eastbay's ROI uncertainty rules of thumb

Slim Picken's ITM uncertainty rules of thumb

Thanks to Pokerscott, eastbay, and Slim Pickens for working up these stats.
