I'd give the money back and there is no comparison with poker.

If ordering a pizza was a game where you tried to get food as cheaply as possible and you and her both are aware it's a game and understand the risk of loss and the point of the game then I keep it. But it is obviously not like that so I don't and the fact that you didn't is good.

As a poker player your first instict should be to want to keep it, no? Then you start realizing the implications behind your decision and have second thoughts. At same time, what makes this much different from online poker?

Aggression is also important in poker. That doesn't mean punching the delivery girl in the face and grabbing the sub off her without paying is what a good aggressive poker player should do.

However, what you did, first keeping it, and then correcting yourself and giving it back, I think that is very rare and quite an accomplishment. Kudo's!

Similar story - I was cashing in travelers cheques at the casino the other day and the guy gave me an extra $20. I noticed but didn't say anything...wtf, the casino isn't going to miss $20. Then like a minute later I though about the teller and thought that it would really suck if he got in trouble for that, so I went back and corrected his mistake.

Well, speaking of karma, I was playing poker at the same casino a couple of days later and one of the security people came up to me and said they saw on surveillance that I dropped $20, so they gave it to me.

An intersting twist to the story is that there is NO way that I really dropped $20 - I didn't have any $20s on me.

But I decided to keep that one to myself

You can keep the money or your integrity, not both.

One time I was at a bar, up at the counter to pay my bill. A waitress comes up to handle someone else's bill... as she pulls one of those credit card book things out of her apron, she has no idea that all these $20s just spilled onto the floor.

I grabbed them all, punched the bartender and took off

Eh no - I gave it all back. She'd have had to pay that back probably. $160 is tempting though.
