Instant Check (an ACH transaction) is and has always been (since they introduced it) the best way to get funds in and out of Bodog.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, but what is an ACH transaction and why does that make it secure?

[/ QUOTE ]

Its a electronic check from your bank. Many real biznazs use them.

Also equivalent to Party's old IGM-Pay method.

Iggy after the Superbowl is when the shiat would hit the fan if it is going to.

Basically my advice to everyone here is if you can't afford to lose the money or have it tied up for worst case 18 months because of court cases or whatever then cashout until things settle down. I have cashed out about 75% of my roll and will cashout about half of what is left in the next 24 hours.

There will always be ways to get the money back to the sites that make it through this, there WON'T always be ways to get your money from the sites that don't make it through this.

I think this is correct. My view is that the industry will remain strong for a long time to come, but is likely to be smaller than what it is today. This doesn't really matter in the long term but it could create a short-term shakeout of the suppliers and you dont want to get caught in that. I am about 75% out now but I plan to be back in a few weeks after the superbowl unless something dramatic prevents that. I dont even think this is a US issue. I would do the same thing with my money if I lived outside the US.

*Update regarding BD withdrawals*

Presently Bodog will no longer send out checks via mail or carrier, for whatever reason, some sort of banking problem.

I requested a payout EFT, or Echeck if you will to my checking account, & it is being held up due to technicalty difficulties on their end. (this is what phone support told me)
It is que'ed up but hasn't been processed yet.

This stinks because it's currently the only way to withdrawal from BD.
I believe BD will come through, but still I'm a bit concerned.

What are others experiencing when it comes to BD w/d's?

I called Bodog today when I signed in to my account and there was an new messege asking me to contact them regarding a withdraw. I spoke with a rep. who told me the best way at this point to get money out of an account quickly, is to have them send you cash through Western Union. He said this would take up to 24 hrs, but they would cover any fees involved. Don't know if this helps anyone or not, but it is likely the route I will take as I have only about 1K on there at this time...
