Do you think that you can get your site indexed and people find it that way. You website looks realy pro and I think if you could get it ranked it could be a money maker. I dont know if adword would be the right choice for this site. Tell me how it works out.

Website looks good.

great site

did u design it urself? what tools did u use?

i clicked on several ads for ya

with ur ranking and ur having ernestjones.net domain name and the content and look, i'd also suggest not to look at the arbitrage route so much...this inspires me to write a few dozen different small websites like this on various topics for passive income

I designed the header in photoshop and illustrator, the layout in golive.

With the advice of other posters, I'm probably not going to put too much emphasis on arbitrage.

As to getting search engine rankings, I'm just kind of feeling my way through that right now. What I did to start was put the video clip of Bobby Jones swinging on my site. (For those who don't know golf, he's a pretty popular figure). Then I posted on a couple of golf forums to click the link to watch the video. I'm not really selling anything on the site, so I didn't catch any flack - just a bunch of "thank you's" - and hits. I also did an adwords campaign basically advertising the swing.

So I'm just trying to figure out some cause and effect right now. One idea I've found that seemed to work, was the video. I initially posted a link to it on three golf forums. Since then, by tracking the url hits, I can tell the link has been cross-posted in several other forums and on a few blogs. It's probably just common sense marketing for those who know, but it seems like it works.

I guess the big thing, for me, wasn't so much the idea, but my thought process that led up to it. I was just thinking about ideas as to "what I could give" to people on golf forums that they would consider valuable. So the vid clip was one idea that came to me. It's a lesson I've learned in other areas of business: instead of thinking about how to get people to do what I want them to, I just try to keep thinking about what I could do for them - what do they want? The latter way of thinking seems to help me come up with more original and creative marketing ideas than the former.

Thanks to all, again, for the help and advice.

John,

You should take the video and cut it off right before he swings. Instead add a message to the end like, "See the swing at ernestjones.net". Then post it on youtube and Google Video.

That's good idea. I have a couple other clips, I'll figure something out and put one or a partial one up.
Thanks.

I like the site a lot. Gave you a click for your efforts.

Where did you come up with the idea about writing about this guy? I'm a reasonably avid golfer and I'd never heard of him.
