Re: Aspartame---Safe or not?
[ QUOTE ]
For what it's worth, I drink gallons of Diet Coke every day and I've never had an adverse effect anywhere close to the things you're talking about. The caffeine in soda is far more harmful than the aspartame, I can promise you that. [/ QUOTE ] good for you... but this is like me saying i smoke 3 packs of cigs a day for last 10 years and have had no real health problems... so all the smoking is bad for you data must be bs! |

MrMon, if you can show us that anything in the timeline I posted is false, I'll send you $200. Can you put up or shut up? [/ QUOTE ] Your endless nutcase rantings about 9/11 forever discredit you. You could point to that big light in the sky and call it the Sun and I wouldn't believe you. It's not that what you say is untrue, it's that you have no opinion worth respecting. Ever. |

Re: Aspartame---Safe or not?
There is no answer for this question. It's hotly debated in the scientific literature.
Most of the "crackpot" stuff you read off the net (see Donald Rumsfeld example above--it's like the perfect confluence for conspiracy theorists. "Jesus H Christ! We can work Rumsfeld into this aspartame thing too! He's like the most hated guy in the world, people will eat this up!") is naturally anti-aspartame. But, the scientific literature is filled with dispute about whether doses that humans actually normally consume are harmful. |

Re: Aspartame---Safe or not?
Isn't it fair to say that symptoms like "fatigue" "irritability" and "headaches" could be linked to the caffeine present in nearly all diet sodas?

But then again, I'm really not into conspiracy theories, and probably don't have the active imagination that you do. We know, you "want to believe". |

[/ QUOTE ] I should have added in my earlier post that I drink mostly 'caffeine free' diet coke. Maybe that's why I don't have any negative health effects. Who knows, for all I know there's a tumor growing in my brain right now that will kill me before I finish this po |

What part of my posts in this thread do you see as the product of the active imagination you seem to think I possess? |
