Re: JJ 3bet and in position
Check behind on river. That turned 10 will slow down a lot of hands that beat you, but aren't folding. There really isn't much value on the river.

He folds hands that you beat and raises hands you dont. [/ QUOTE ] Um, why do you want this? [ QUOTE ] Basically, your hand is not very strong. It may as well be 34o in this spot because we're rarely going to showdown (and winning). [/ QUOTE ] So, so wrong. What kind of range are you assigning Villain? |

Re: JJ 3bet and in position

Short answer: Protecting your hand is way less important than getting maximum value out of it IMO. [/ QUOTE ] How are you goign to gain ANY extra value out of AK/AQ/AJ/lower PPs? Seems to me you only lose value in the long run by checking this flop vs them. Giving up a 3bet pot when an overcard comes on the turn and they bet into you is expensive. |

Re: JJ 3bet and in position
If river did not double pair the board and villain checked (as played), I would VB.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm refering to a flop bet here. Obv if we check the flop its possible for us to win at showdown because instead of giving him the option to fold worse hands were giving him a chance to beat us with free cards for which we gain no value. |
