Oh, and I also really like Luckay's alternating seer peek idea.

One problem with it is that apparently you can sign up for the game and not get to play.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The choosing of your role thing seems potentially problematic. [/ QUOTE ] Everyone keeps saying this, but no one is explaining. I thought the idea that you get to choose what you want to be would be appealing. If not, I can scrap it. [/ QUOTE ] You should listen to lastchance : A problem with the request system is that we could easily figure out who enjoys playing wolf most, and just lynch them happily because of probability issues. [/ QUOTE ] This strategic element is part of the point of the concept. |

SUPER EARLY PRE-GAME STRATEGY DISCUSSION
I will very likely not pick wolf here, it will be suicide. I like being seer more than villager, so I will probably choose seer. But no, I can't anymore since I just posted that, and I like winning as village more than playing seer. Which means I will pick villager. Of course, I like playing wolf. So the good news is, the seer should peek me. I'm around for a lot. I can execute any FPS plan you come up with when you pass info to me as a villager. And if you peek me as a wolf, oh wells. END SUPER EARLY PRE-GAME DISCUSSION P.S. I will follow this train of thought when submitting my choice of character P.P.S. I will never refer to this train of thought again |

LuckayLuck is so FPSy, it's an absolute joy to read. This is some of the best stuff ever. |

If you do this concept, I think it has to be 1st come, 1st serve so you can max out players. Just don't post player list, and tell us what roles you're still looking for. |

I think people are overestimating their ability to decide who picked what. It makes sense in this game to pick the role opposite of what people expect. If people expect you to be village then you should have a good shot choosing wolf, if people expect you to choose wolf then village might be the better option. Seer will be crapshoot so no real issue there.
It brings out the metagame and I like it. To be honest I dont really know which role most people are likely to pick what anyway. |

Now that I think about it, I will probably rand() my decision.
Well, I will say that I rand()ed my decision, at least. I may or may not have actually rand()ed my decision. |
