Gotta say it looks impressive, but I guess land is cheap in Texas. Cost about $10 million? More, less?

Most expensive house in London - $128 million:

I would MUCH rather have OP's place than that one. I do not like foreign architecture to say the least...

[/ QUOTE ]

If I remember correctly this house in London is even more garish & disgusting inside. But I guess some people like that. It's all about the location, baby. Saying you "don't like foreign architecture" is a tiny weeny sweeping generalisation, especially seeing as the OP's house is a mish/mash of european styles.

OP, the inheritance tax goes off the books in 2011...just so you know. But it may be brought back after that. Oh, capitalism.

You are right, was generalizing a little. What I meant was that the architecture in London, like the picture I was commenting on, really turns me off. I am American, so I am used to seeing fancy places, in the tone of Tony Montana.

Would you rather live with your folks in the middle of Texas miles from anyone, with no friends and nothing to do except hit on the Hispanic maids, or in a huge apartment on 5th Avenue or Beverley Hills etc? Never been to the US but what I get from watching MTV Cribs is some mansions are better than others, and a huge place in the middle of nowhere (i.e. not LA or NYC) is still in the middle of nowhere....
