Why would you play a 3 like this if you were good? It folds everything you beat.

I'm saying it's very unlikely he has a 3, based on several SNG's with said opponent.

Blue Lipton is not that good. His play doesn't fold out everything you beat, lots of donkeys will call w/ their Q from the BB, or a worse 3. I'm not saying he played it correctly, but he can definitely play a 3 like this. I think you'd agree, he either has a 3 or air, and I wouldn't want to play sheriff and call him down here.

That's the issue...to me, this play doesn't make sense. If I'm wuwei here, I may fold because I don't know villian that well and I want to play it safe...that's fine.

But, I'm not folding just because I assume the villian is good since he's multitabling, and that's the read.

I agree with this logic - playing a 3 like this on that board is goofy. If anything he is check min raising the turn, not the flop with a 3 here.

I'd put him on QT here if I had to guess a single hand.

call turn... those are the last chips of mine that hit the middle as a caller tho.

if this guy really is a solid reg, you are boned here (nice shillix ), however, your uncertainty on your read is why i think you have to peel on the turn. the check min raise on the flop doesnt exactly scream solid.

A lot about this hand changes if villain drops from "pretty good" to "isn't a total donk".

hmmmm. Then you think we're getting 2.5:1-ish against his range?

I agree about the check-min raise (unless he has Q3). But the 2/3 pot bet on the turn means something no? This really feels like villain has self-control here. I think I'd feel more inclined to jam if villain was betting stronger on the turn given that this board is severely uncoordinated.

Yeah, agreed. I'll add, the worse the player is, though, the more I think the check-min raise is Q3. Wannabe poker pros love the check-raise with the nuts (or in this case near nuts). Otherwise, they are always trying to "protect their hand" or "charging to draw." All of villain's betting here suggests self-confidence.

That being said, hero did set this hand up well for villain to play a worse hand like this. If we call the turn, we've committed 33% of our stack. A riverbet is an allin bet.

Your always boned here, right?

This is my thought. I'm not sure I could get away from it in the heat of the moment, but it really looks like A3 and not much else.

Good to see a post by the Wuwei master!

Tough spot as it's all the rage nowadays to limp monsters early.

That said, you only have to worry about QQ or TT.

So, if villain is actually limping, it's probably AA, KK that you are facing.

Most likely AK, AQ or AT is in the hand here so you are good.... until the river.

Shove and make a note........ Not happy about it, but that's my play most times.

Happy Floppidays to you and the family! Slacka

[/ QUOTE ]

No?

QQ doesn't complete. TT doesn't c/r flop. unless he's a complete moron.
