the sunday million is hardly a tournament. after the $$$$$ hits, it turns into 600 guys flipping coins to see who wins the 150k. of course, some players coins are slightly weighted to one side so they have a tiny tiny tiny edge. but in the long run they have no edge because whatever edge they did have is taken away from partyin the entry fee.
party almost as much as first prize off these tournies.

What he means is:

We can hardly consider the Sunday Million to be a real poker tournament, because after all the players get in the money, the short stacksizes do not allow more skillful players to get significant edges. Therefore, the tournament at this point degenerates into a coinflipping tournament for a first place prize of over $150,000. Furthermore, PokerStars recieves a total rake of over $90,000; making them almost as rich as the player who wins the tournament.

He's making a strong point about how the rake is large compared to the edge that good players can get.

It definitely goes too fast for my taste, but with a 7000 player tourney, what can you do? I went from 10k to 27k in the first hour, and still felt pressured after first break. After the second break, it was a straight up pushfest. I think the average stack had about an 8-10m at the time I busted.

if stars would switch 100/200-25 to 150/300-25 i think the tourneys would all be like 10x better

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you kidding? 100/200/25 is the only level I LIKE.

[/ QUOTE ]

i guess i just hate when my M doubles instead of 1.5x or so

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I just like the only level on Stars where the antes mean anything; the antes in Stars tournaments are a total joke

Lee, please make the increases more gradual. Too much doubling, too many large jumps from level to level.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!!

PS - This is why Stars rebuys are the only great tourny they offer. Great interface finally meets great tourny with lots of play.
