I dunno, but i saw myreno crush omgclayaiken at 100/200 NL HU the other night

Two guesses: Reno is rich, so he can play whatever limits, or this is some good player doing the ethically debatable, "Adopt the name of a well-known player to get too much action" routine. Could just be the real deal on a sick run, too, as far as I know; haven't seen him play on FT.

I have no clue who he is, but opened the table with him playing OMGCA and he was chatting with the rail. He mentioned he had never played that high before and commented that he was hitting every hand vs. OMGCA and getting called (He had something like a 6 buyin stack HU). I would guess based on what he said he is just on a sick run. I didn't watch much of the match so I can't comment on his play.

If you can't make this call preflop, without fearing the loss of your stack, you shouldn't be playing these stakes.

i highly doubt phil "fears the loss". he just wants to make the best EV decision.

This is an obvious call if you aren't scared of losing your stack - which is why I said what I said.

I think the optimal play is to shove pre-flop after durrrr re-pops it to 2.3k

[/ QUOTE ]

notice that 2.3k reraise is v small. i think shoving over that is a mistake.

Renovation is one my favorite all time opponents. Profitable and fun as hell.
A perfect example of what happens when you don't let me run over you =)

If you can reasonably consider folding here then you don't 4-bet a wide enough range IMO.
