govman6767: Its our error for allowing this poll to remain unaltered, it was biased and designed to win in your favor - that is a "polltard" like behavior yet I ignored it because I thought it would get a chuckle - after all the thread's topic is kinda silly. I don't recommend that anyone take to heart the results of your poll since it was so biased, I think this topic can be revisited at another time with a fair and balanced question base to provide a more scientific result if anyone cares to know the truth.

TT... With the exception of my B&M truths posts I don't think I've ever posted anything that was overall serious.

Spent 28 yrs of my life on east coast AC was the place to be TT.

People try to compare AC to Vegas, California, Foxwood's etc.

You can't do it.

AC is built around people who are bused in for 6-8 hrs a day to play slots.

People playing table games and poker is a bonus I guess but Trump and Co. have set up shop to get The little old ladies money.

It seems AC is shifting a bit now (WHICH IS GOOD) AC NEEDS MORE BORGATA'S but they need them on the boardwalk.

Just the addition of summer beach bars made AC 100% more enjoyable. If they could take advantage of the beach area more.. enforce the vagrancy laws better... add more strip clubs uhh forget that part. AC would have a better rep.

I don't know how many posters here spent every weekend at AC playing stud... BEFORE THE POKER BOOM played the table games some slots a bit of keno [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. Ate the 3 dollar slice of pizza. Played the midway games.

There are "some" nice bars in the area that are not overridden with scumbags and serve a good meal within walking distance of the casinos.

But if your going to compare AC to vegas THEN you should also compare it to places like the Bronx, Tacoma, 3/4ths of california, Detroit etc.

I still know mothers who bring their kids on the martz buses so they can spend a day at the beach with their kids because the bus is semi free. It has it's bad points which are easy to point out...easy for posters here to point out.

It's a shame no one can ever say a good word about it.

Remember you are posting this on a poker forum.

I think most people on this forum like the Borgata because they have the best poker room. They have have more games available, better drink service, and lower juice/more play in their tournaments. It doesn't matter if you are frugal or extravagant in you non-poker life, playing at Borgata is the most profitable experience for all skilled poker players.

Most of us don't care about the rules to other games because we don't play any other games (although I think rules are pretty standard everywhere in AC). As for staying at the hotel, I think most people appreciated the nice rooms while they could get them for $40/night, but no way are they going to pay $300/night or whatever they cost full price.

For a POKER player who plays cash games, California is the wholly mecca. This is then followed by Vegas, and then AC comes in third place. I am beginning to think your a "GAMBLER", not a poker player.

It also makes me 99.99999 % different from regular gamblers who lose and pay for it out of their pay check.

I fit somewhere in the middle, at least where LV is concerned. Only been there once, stayed at the Monte Carlo; will probably step down a notch to something like Barbary Coast or IP on future trips. And I like to play at the shiny new places; it's where the good games are.
