Two years in a row now my dumb-ass GF starts yapping during the 2 minutes of silence. If she does it again next year she's gonna become a fallen soldier.

I'm glad its a holiday now, I used to have to take a vacation day to show my respect.

My grandfather served on the front lines in WWII and was wounded on 2 different occasions in the leg. The man would talk your ear off for hours about anything but he would never say a word about his experience in the war. Obviously it was pretty traumatic for him.
