I'm going to take a shot at responding to the OP. I hope I don't disturb the AC debate.

I read this this article a couple weeks ago in the Chicago Tribune. In this competitive House district there were a half dozen foreign news outlets covering a recent debate. This is the House, so individual races don't usually get this much attention. So on the whole, I would say there is quite a bit interest in the elections from overseas.

Don't have much of a view on reublican vs democrat. the main thing that interests me is if the USA moves away from the religous loonies. I was reading an article in a UK paper that claimed there were signs the republicans might be waking up to the enemy within.

Any reason to be hopeful?

You know, the debate that one or more ACists was participating in. We are ACists, there for all that we talk about must be ACism. Remember when you were talking about fluid dynamics in SMP? That was an AC hijack.
