Who exactly has Dallas put their points up against. They've lit up the bad teams and struggled versus the good teams while the Colts have played pretty similar versus both e/c the Houston game. Looking at the sumation of their points and points given up give nothing to the actual story. Wow, the Cowboys have killed Houston, Washington, and Houston but have been mediocre against the decent teams they've played such as Jacksonville, Giants and Philly. Colts can score and outscore their good opponents, while the Cowboys so far can't this year.

Yes, I know. And my point wasn't to claim Dallas has a comparable offense to the Colts, but to say their offense isn't in desperate shape, and the QB situation isn't as dire as some are making it out to be. If Arrington doesn't hit Bledsoe's arm on that flea flicker, the whole season might have a different look.

All,

The problem with Bledsoe and the Cowboys offense isn't that they aren't scoring points, because they are. The problem is that Bledsoe makes awful mistakes that score points for the other team.

You can rack up a ton of yards and touchdown passes, but if you throw touchdowns to the other team, you will still lose. See: Philly vs. Tampa Bay.

Pretty funny that #25 on the list is a two time MVP and #5 is a career backup.

Anyway, yeah, saying #5 QB=#25 QB is retarded.

When I first looked at that list, and Huard was 5th, I was like "damnit, that figures." Not everyone realizes that Huard is playing really well. So I expanded the lists to prove my point =)

As I said, do you really expect Romo to be a big improvement in that regard?

Bledsoe has made one turnover that the defense took the other way for a TD (albeit a huge one, the pick-6 to Lito Shepherd), which is one less than McNabb and the same number as Vick, Young, Losman, Brady, and Romo. As for total turnovers, he's made the same number as Eli Manning and Rex Grossman, and one more than Favre, Roethlisberger, Pennington, and Palmer, all of whose starting jobs seem pretty secure (when healthy).

I'm not even a Cowboys fan, but I think Bledsoe should have at least been given a chance to finish the game Monday.

If that 62-yard FG doesn't get there, does this axiom still hold true?

Yes, because there's no reason it should've been that close.

Yes, because you can use any one of hundreds of examples where one team outplays the other but turns the ball over a lot and loses.

No. Quoting myself: "Romo adds some mobility, but he also seems to have the exact same two problems Bledsoe has: a tendency to hold the ball too long, and a tendency to make awful mistakes."

I think they're in the same position as Arizona a few weeks ago and Washington now. You aren't going anywhere with your starting quarterback, so you might as well play the young backup to see if he is any good.
