yea i tried the old OOP float play...steve had been playing really fast and loose and had been firing 3barrels a lot it seemed. he almost insta-bet this turn w/o looking at it, i thought he was weak, tried to take it down with my tight image figuring he'd fold a weak jack or a pp.

fwiw (ppl have been unneccessarily rough) this would be a much better play if alex was the raiser pf, because he would only call w/ JJ (as the raiser) since he's not raising a small pp out of the blinds (he'd prolly think a while with AA but I dont see him making the call - but he did say you were over crazy, so its possible) so really only 1 combo out of many hands..

but as the pf completer / limper he just never has a big pair here, or AJ (he'd probably bet turn and river) so the best you laydown is MAYBE 67... so you just dont fold out any possible better hands

and no, he never folds 44 here.

the thing is about the turn, if he does have a set he will pay off bdoor draw without a doubt, and if he was making a weird bluff, vs you he prolly shuts down (since you have showdown value in a chk/chk situation you win alot)
