It always cracks me up when Betgo asks if something is a joke. I don't really know why, but it does.

Do I ever make posts that are not serious?

Roothlus,

First let me say it's great to see you posting here. You are, undoubtedly, one of the more talented online poker players and I'm certain that only good things will come from your participation here. What took you so long?

That being said, not every thread here generates a lot of discussion. One of the most common complaints of long-time posters here is that many threads aren't interesting because it's a topic that's been rehashed dozens of times by them. Newer posters here aren't familiar with what's already been covered so you will see a lot of threads that have few replies or one word responses.

As others suggested, just keep posting your responses and try to come up with things to stimulate quality discussions. Not every thread will become pulitzer material. Your experience is a great asset to the community and I'm sure a lot of people, including yourself, will benefit from your participation here! This is the best poker strategy forum out there and I'm fairly certain you'll come to agree with that sentiment in due time.

Well, not every thread needs a hundred posts.

OP a hand, good player makes a comment, if there's little that needs to be figured out, it's usually enough.

You used to, that's all. Not lately in any way shape or form, but in my 2+2 youth, I would read your threads and be confused out of my mind. Maybe it's because I read your "How to win" posts early on and then got confuzzled from that point on.

So that's why I chuckle. Because I'd ask "Is this a joke" after half of your posts early on.

I know U! We played HU in a Stars 22/180 last year & I couldn't figure out WHY you had so many buddies chatting with you during the 30+ minute HU battle.

Nearly fell out of my chair when I later read your bio on pocket 5.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and I'm sure in no time you will be generating lots of good discussion with your posts.

BTW, for a donk like me, that was without question the best HU experience I've ever had. Next time, I'll let you win

Dude, Sirio answered your post. The highlight of my posting career came when Fossilman answered one of mine, but this is pretty damn cool, too.

Nobody answered because you didn't do anything wrong. Here's a hug.

You've made like one post that I've seen dude, if you wanna post hands or comment on 'em it'd be a different story.

Two things:

1) [ QUOTE ]

I think a lot of the people who know who you are don't post nearly as much as they used to.
The rest don't know any better, so they just gravitate toward the "MTT Regulars" that they recognize.

I searched for threads you started in MTTF over the past 10 weeks. You've made this one and that's it.

Oh, my guide. You took it seriously. Must have really been a beginner.

TJ's books are similar but more elaborate satires on weak/tight fish play. I am suprised people take those seriously too.
