Of course the same could be said for the "smoking causes cancer" debate [1] and the creationism versus evolution debate. It's a matter of degree, and it's clear which side is vastly more propagandistic.

Don't you mean tobacco *started* the professional war on mainstream climate scientists just to hide their professional war on cancer researchers? "Linked to" is a little too gentle IMO.

...is an eye opener. It seems fitting that the global warming "skeptics" had their birth in the same people who testified that cigarettes don't cause cancer.
