No, it's a good play with a set. You will get callers and maybe a raise from late position that you can 3bet for value. You will get less value from isolating with a c/raise or slow playing.

I thought we already qualified that you were talking about a pair. Of course leading a set into 5 players is a good line.

Yeah, i see what you mean. I think the flop raise is a default play i use. Usually i will release a hand like this to a 3bet.

I hope that by "release ... to a 3-bet" you mean that you'll see the turn.
