Honestly, without a read that the guy is a bit of a donk, I'd check fold the flop. Doubtful you're ahead, and all your outs may be tainted. In a tournament, I don't think it's something I want to spend my chips on anymore!

Was doing good - over 23000. Then my 88 in the blind ran into the shortstack's AA heads up, and I felt the need to call him down on a relatively safe flop since he was going to be all in. Then I bluffed off a large portion of chips against the new guy at the table!

But 99 doubled me up to keep me alive.
