Well, I have tried it before. But that is beside the point.

Hangovers are almost entirely a result of being dehydrated. Diaretics dry your body out. I don't see how this is such a mysterious thing.

Sure, the caffeine might give you a little extra perkiness. There are better ways to get caffeine, though, if that's what you're after.

Caffeine can make your headache go away. You just have to drink lots of water too.

FYI, I woke up at 7 am today, drank several beers, and passed out for an hour. Woke back up and I am ready for more football and drinking. Is it Sunday>?

Last time I went binge drinking, I tried to walk out the window attempting to go the bathroom, vomited all over my roommate's dorm and fell unconscious into my own vomit.

This is very very true, although I think it's very possible to be an alcoholic and not drink off hangovers too.
