darko,

At first PITTM and I were suing each other, but then we realized that we really both were more concerned about fighting THE MAN so now we have joined forces so we can do even more suing.

el d,

perhaps we should be including sackup as a team member now that we may take advantage of his lawyerly prowess.

SU,

OK, if you are willing to do lots of lawsuits for us for free, you might not be sued.

[/ QUOTE ]

diablo,

perhaps we could convince him to agree to a settlement with doing lawsuits for us for free in the future? i imagine that might get us to drop our suit(s).

rj,

Lawsuits are the least of your worries.

Transfer $500 to my Stars account and I'll consider NOT sending THE MAN over to your tokeshack.

(this, I believe, we call extortion)

CW,

seeing as i have a county issued marijuana card, and there is a measure on the ballot in santa cruz to prioritize marijuana arrests in the same way that they would a parking ticket, i doubt "the man" would mind.

in relation to the OP, be aware that posting on the internet will carry you across many different jurisdictions.

For example, the Australian High Court found that a US website publisher was subject to Australian defamation/libel/whatever laws when it allegedly defamed an Australian on its hosted US website (which was available to Australians). For more info on this, search for a case involving Gutnick and, I think, Dow Jones Publishing (?).

Although I haven't researched it at all, I suspect that it is likely that other Commonwealth jurisdictions (UK, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, India, etc.) will follow that precedent.

In some Australian states, for example, truth is not an absolute defence.

(this is not legal advice - for proper advice, go see a lawyer)
