Broussard certainly doesn't "kill righties."

I don't know if that is KILLING righties, but it is pretty damned solid (not to mention a HUGE upgrade from Jurassic Carl).

...in less than 250 PA.

For his career, it's a .280/.345/.487 (.832 OPS). That is, of course, far from "killing" and just about league average for a 1B/DH.

Where the hell would Richie Sexson be going? Isn't he making like 11mil per year the next 2 and 1/2 years?

it's gotta suck being a Mariners fan. all you've got is your two Japanese players and your young stud middle infield. Even Felix is meh this year. Plus three much better teams ahead of you in the standings. And it's not like the future's all that bright b/c you've got the overpaid bums to negate the young talent on the team. What's the long-term plan with this roster???

I don't really understand your post. We have more than a few prospects. They play in a league which really isn't all that competitive (this year atleast). Do you know much about the M's or follow their team and/or farm system?

The Mariners were the like the 3rd youngest team in the league BEFORE they dumped Everett. They are on the rise. Another starter (or maybe 2) in the offseason, and continued improvement from the young 'uns will put them right in the thick of things next year. Hell, they are in the thick of things in the West THIS year, but only because the West is terrible.
