Saw both of these bands in their prime (yes, that makes me an old fart by oot standards). Saw Def Leppard,Judas Priest and the Scorpions together in 1980 at my first concert when I was 16 years-old. Think it cost about $15.

And Steve Perry is not in da house.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but doesn't the replacement look, act, and sound EXACTLY like Perry? Nobody should be going to this concern sober, so it should be pretty much impossible to tell the difference.

This is a must-see.

[/ QUOTE ]

He really does. I saw Journey back in 2003 and they had a nearly identical sound. In fact, the guy's name is Steve Augieri which rhymes with Steve Perry.

[/ QUOTE ]

I saw one of Steve Perry's solo gigs in the late 90s sounded like crap. Saw Journey with Steve Augieri (sp?) he sounded great. As a matter of fact I recomend Journey to alot of people who still go to see Classic Rock shows because they are one of the few groups that still sound good. Most have lead singers who can no longer hit the notes. Old guys can still play the guitar and drums. Years of booze, drugs and smoking really [censored] with the voice.

apparently these seats come with free blowjobs and a limo, El D.

I dunno. I'm just telling what the man said. $200 per.

I don't think he'd try to make money off me on this deal, but I'm going to look it up.

Ticketmaster shows most of the upcoming shows as having the highest ticket price set at <$85. Which show are you going to? Are these some sort of VIP pass or special club seating?

BTW, set list for DL from Mohegan Sun ( link )

I dunno man. I'll talk with the guy tonight and see what's up with these seats. I'm guessing they are center frontrow/orcehstra pit style or something.

I would say no, mainly cos I have an anti Journey stance as the posing DJ used to play this all the time at the rock night we used to goto, him and his Geoff Tate look alike brother would get up and dance to it and other AOR crap, pissing off others like me who were waiting for some Metallica or Sepultura.

Unfortunatley that posing DJ ended up being my brother in law, fortunatley he now isnt.

Def Lappard are meant to put on a good show but guess it depends how long they are getting.

daveymck - why are you going out to a bar to hear Sepultura? Thats the kinda stuff you listen to at home. Not when you are trying to get chicks drunk and go home with you.

It wasnt a bar it was a rock/metal disco, taking a chick home would have been interesting to see what my parents thought. I am talking about 1990 here not last week. It was one of those places that mostly the same people went every week and I didnt do too badly out of the woman there, particulary as most weeks I had a bottle of thunderbird and 8+ cans of Brown ale on an average night there.
