Re: Movies you with you could see for the 1st time again
I really wish I'd seen the original Matrix at the theaters. Also, my mind wouldn't subconsciously drift to how terrible the 2nd and 3rd movies were.

Re: Movies you wish you could see for the 1st time again
- The Matrix
- LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring On a related note, I sometimes like to imagine that I'm watching a movie (that I've seen) for the first time. Also, if you're presenting a movie to someone that hasn't seen it, you can sometimes watch it again for the first time vicariously through him or her. |

Re: Movies you wish you could see for the 1st time again
The Matrix was the first movie that came to mind, I'm surprised it took so long in the thread to get mentioned.
Another one that hasn't been mentioned is Team America. It'd be nice to have the shock value back. |

Re: Movies you wish you could see for the 1st time again
Goodfellas. Was the first movie I really had that lucid experience of sitting up so focused on what you are watching and how awesome it is that you can't believe it is actually happening and you are privileged enough to be having this experience. I think I was 12.
Also, Mulholland Drive, I was so emotionally involved watching this alone at a late screening on the first night it was playing at the cinema, hyped up on caffeine and loneliness and excitement at seeing a new Lynch flick. I walked around for hours afterwards with headphones on just thinking. These are the two most memorable experiences I have from first viewing of a film, but also, yeah The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Old Boy, The Hustler, etc etc |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Jurassic Park. That movie was crazy awesome when I first saw it in the theater. [/ QUOTE ] I remember me and my friends were the only ones who couldnīt stop laughing when we saw it in the cinema. [/ QUOTE ] Were you high? [/ QUOTE ] I havenīt watched the movie in the meantime, but I remember laughing like crazy especially at two points: - In the beginning, there was that old scientist giving some completely nonsensical "words of wisdom" to some boy in the camp in the most serious manner ever. - Later on, some fat guy was hysterically looking for his glasses while being attacked by a dinosaur. Only 1 of our friends wore glasses at the time, and he was also the only one who didnīt think it was funny, which made it even more hilarious. Nobody else in the theatre seemed to think any of these were funny. We were about 17 at the time, and yes, the odds are quite good that we were on grass at this point. Edit: Not to forget the scene where some guy was eaten by a dinosaur while sitting on the toilet! I guess we just happened to be in the right age to laugh about things like that. |

Re: Movies you with you could see for the 1st time again
The first time I saw Memento there was a storm and the power cut out for like 15 minutes about 2/3 of the way through the film. The story was really just beginning to unfold and it was incredibly frustrating waiting for it to come back on, but in an awesome way, especially when it eventually did. Was a very memorable experience (pardon the pun).

I'm with you on The Godfather. I really dont enjoy seeing it over and over again, but that first time was awesome.
Also The Game. That was the first movie I didnt want to get up because I felt I would miss something that would help me figure out the end. |
