How is this a question mark? Both of those were huge news. Yeah, they happened abroad, but the US was involved so I think they count as domestic news.

By "domestic news" I am pretty much referring to events that occurred here.

Title might be a misnomer.

i dunno, i'm british, but i switched on Fox and CNN recently, and EVERYONE was going on about illegal immigrants and what not.

I think those would be considered national events, not domestic. Similiar to the difference between GNP and GDP.

You're right, I was confusing the two. The OP did include bird flu which really didn't happen here so that threw me off.
