I heard there were a lot of German immigrants right around '45, too.

If you can get Argentina at close to 2.96 with the bookies, get some serious money down! Germany have scored very early goals in each of there matches so far, and have not really come up against any very good teams.

They have looked vewry good going forward (Klose in playing brilliant), but the defense has not really been tested. I really think the German style could come undone against a team that can counter-attack like Argentina (Especially if Argentina take the lead).

Germany seem to play similar to how the Ivory Coast did, and Argentina tore them to pieces on the break. I can see them winning this 2-1 or 3-1.

Any of you German fans going to watch the game in Berlin? I was thinking of going there for the atmosphere (was once before during WC and it was great), but my friends have to work etc. so would be nice to meet up with somebody.

P.S. Not sure who I will root for yet

70% of Argentina is of Italian descent. Many have dual citizenship there.

I don't see why. There's interest in talking about it now. Should everyone just hold their tongues until gameday?

The quarterfinals game are shaping up quite nicely, besides the crapfest that will be Italy vs. Ukraine.
