While these songs aren't great, there is no need to bash them just because you didn't like them or to re-affirm that you are a cool underground hipster that is above the mainstream. You may not have liked them, but millions of people must have, so they arent that bad.

Also Macarena- Los Del Rios

For a more recent song- Gwen Stefani- Hollaback Girl. Last summer I worked at a bank that had a Top hits station playing in the background (dont ask me why 50+ year old tellers wanted that playing), but my friend that interned there said it was played once an hour from 9-5, and an average of about 14-15 times a day, which is standard for most popular songs. I estimated that I heard that song over 500 times that summer alone, which really isnt hyperbole (40hrs a week, 8-81/2 weeks, so about 500+)

I just found out Ironic was released in early 1996. That might count.

How the hell does Limp Bizkit have the only rock song on here?

It's even more frustrating that I can't think of one to add.

It might just be something I experienced, but when the Box was still a channel, it was in heavy rotation there for close to 2 years.

Wow, I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]ed The Box

Just thought of another one that's definitely a strong contender for top 10. This song was played about every 10 minutes on every radio station back in its prime:

Nelly - Country Grammar

you know, I don't think i would know this song is someone played it right now.

Well yeah. FWIW I'm not really sure Nookie should be on the list, even though it completely dominated that summer (1999 or 2000?). I don't know what other rock stuff would be on there, though. Maybe something like Train - Drops of Jupiter, but that's lame.
