antonio is easily the worst player at this table and is playing way above his head

when he yelled at mike for talking during a 200k pot he made himself look like a moron. i realize mike talking was rude but if 200k means that much to antonio im not sure he should be playing at a 100k minimum table.

[/ QUOTE ]

However, he wanted the call so he was using reverse tells there - although it happened so quick it could have been just his natural reaction.

Not sure he's the worst player, he made some great plays last season but he's definately playing over his head. He's admitted to it that's why he's playing so tight. From what I recall of interviews he gave last season his sponsors (UB?) we basically forcing him to play in the game or he would risk losing his sponsorship.

We're talking about a guy (along with his cohort Laak) that was playing in a 5-10 NL game at the Aladdin not more then 7 months ago. Ya think he is out of his level?

Antonio just can't win with those aces... Alaei's previous playing experience with Esfandiari as he stated in the beginning of the episode probably had a lot of influence in his decision to lay down JJ. Also, Antonio's limp reraise with AA again was the same move he used in Season 1. The Grinder isn't a very big influence at the table and has a pretty subdued demeanor, which might be an indication that he knows he can't run over such a talented table. I do have to agree that Mike has been playing a strong game, playing on weaknesses, and picking his spots extremely well. I can't wait to see Gus Hansen added to this mix.

I know you're just kidding but i think i remember reading an article a couple months ago about Daniel Negr. playing 100-200 or 200-400 NLHE with Antonio and Laak.
Sure they are playing above their bankroll but i think they can handle it.

mike M. can be tough when he's playing his best, but his best vs. daniel aleai is not much of a contest IMO. alaei is harder, a strong tricky opponent.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think mike's biggest fault is going much too far out
on too many limbs. This is part of his toughness,
but the excess is more-so a result of his ego (IMHO).

Tossing the jacks was not that big a deal.....
It would have been negated had he called with the AK....
Antonio blew his chance at a call with his move-in, if he smooth calls DA probably puts him on the same AK, probably calls, and they all end up with Broadway, three way split..BUT... would everyone still think he walks on water??
he is playing well no doubt and IMHO he will be great someday, I am just not sure if he is quite there yet (too small a sample size, LOL)

I voted for Alaei. Good solid play, mixes it up, etc. When DN gets some cards he's obviously going to be fun to watch as well. Sammy doesn't quite have the money to splash around like he likes to, so it's holding him back a bit. Matusow will lose it sooner or later, as they are hinting.

I have read that Negreaneau actually stakes Mike often, so is it possible Mike is playing at that table with DN's money?

For people wondering who else is going to be on the show this year:

Returning from Season One:
Daniel Alaei
Doyle Brunson
Todd Brunson
Freddy Chamanara
Eli Elezra
Antonio Esfandiari
Sam Farha
Ted Forrest
Barry Greenstein
Jennifer Harman
Daniel Negreanu
Shawn Sheikhan

New to the action for Season Two:
"Yukon Brad" Booth
Amnon Filippi
David Grey
Gus Hansen
John Juanda
Phil Laak
Erick Lindgren
Minh Ly
Mike Matusow
Mike Mizrachi
Corey Zeidman

I can't wait to see Yukon Brad, E-Dogg, Gus, and Forrest play. And Corey Zeidman? WTF?
