A lot of party fish stay fish, while i bet a lot of stars fish are actualy trying to improve and become a little better.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a very interesting idea. I wonder how much truth it has to it and, if true, does the advertising arm of Stars understands that by promoting their site the way they do, they are effectively "raising the bar" on poker (i.e. - creating a place where the fish disappear faster).

Very interesting idea.

[/ QUOTE ]that is my guess, based on nothing other than the commercials. stars talks about learning poker and winning the wsop, party has a guy looking at bouncing boobs, and a guy playing poker with a blow up doll.

I eliminated those two reasons because if you take away the 2 (or should I mention 1), Stars is a FAR better site.

[/ QUOTE ]

yea, but the purpose to play poker is based on that one reason you moron. ESPECIALLY cash games.

[/ QUOTE ]

I know this:

Here's a better question:

What would it take for stars to attract all the fish from party?

I 4-table PLO8, and do most of my playing at Stars for 2 reasons... their FPP system + incentives, and because I feel the hand timer on Party Poker expires too quickly. It times out all the time when I'm multitabling.

I often need the extra time to do calculations, etc.

[/ QUOTE ]advertising toward real fish like party does, not fish that want to learn the game and become the next wsop champ (see posts farther down in this tread)

A better affiliate set-up? If you're a fish wanting to give online poker a shot, are you going to want to put your own money into Stars, or take advantage of an instant bankroll from Party? Seems like affiliates promote Party much more heavily because it's more profitable for them.

player specific check. the kind of guy who plays J4 like that can be counted on to make that play work. he might fold to an openpush but is more likely to call a c/r push. plus, he bets the river 90% of the time following flop and turn action.
