Re: 10-20 NL Folding bottom set vs a lizard
Yes I was confused, but I still have it all in, as now my read on the opponent's range has changed. He now could easily be making a move with 98, any 8, 97 ect. If you have a read that this guy is the tightest player in the world, then you can probably fold, but if you have that strong of a read, there is no point to us critiquing this hand.

Re: 10-20 NL Folding bottom set vs a lizard
I think there are other possible hands that have not been mentioned. Here's Pokerstove with one possible range:
equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 42.9403 % 42.54% 00.40% { 6d6s } Hand 2: 57.0597 % 56.66% 00.40% { TT-77, T8s+, 97s+, T8o+, 97o+ } With the odds you're being given, (assuming all-in), it's pretty close. |

Re: 10-20 NL Folding bottom set vs a lizard
Do people at 10-20 really 3-bet TT on this flop in a multiway pot?
Really? |

Re: 10-20 NL Folding bottom set vs a lizard
I think 88/89 is doing this too, esp 88. I dont know if villian would reraise 88.

Re: 10-20 NL Folding bottom set vs a lizard
depends a lot on how he views you. The way I view you, however, I do not mind the fold. Read on UTG is important too, who is that. this would be a nice play for him to make with 88 if he knew both of you are capable of folding.

Re: 10-20 NL Folding bottom set vs a lizard
The only two hands you are worried about is 99 and 77. Assuming you have zero fold equity and you are pushing if not folding, you are putting in $1500 to win $2700 (roughly). Thus you're getting 35%. You are 35% against a straight, thus zero EV. So at this point the question is whether he is going to have 99/77 more than 50% of the times that he DOESN'T have the straight. (Because again, if he's got the straight its virtually 0 EV.) If the answer is yes, fold.

Re: 10-20 NL Folding bottom set vs a lizard
OMFG!! WE HAVE A SET!!! HOW CAN WE FOLD????
Seriously, some of you guys really piss me off. A monkey can type this is an easy push, but someone explain why. I have no problem with this fold given the current facts. |
