Re: Phil Ivey is the most SUCCESSFUL player in the world? (not best)
[ QUOTE ]
Bobby Baldwin and its not close. Think about it this way- everytime you play craps, 21, or any other game at an MGMMirage casino which include Mandalay, Luxor,MGM Grand, Excalibur, NYNY, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, TI, or Mirage, you are essentially losing money to Bobby Baldwin. He has managed to get himslef on the very profitable +EV side of table games of the most prestigious gaming company in the world. game over Bobby wins. [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't call MGM the most prestigious gaming company in the world (that's probably LVS) and I also think that Baldwin is mostly involved in Bellagio operations. That being said, he is one of the top 5 most successful personalities in poker. I would add Hellmuth, Ivey, Reese, and D. Brunson to the list as well. |

Hellmuth and Lederer are both worth a ton, very possibly more than Baldwin. [/ QUOTE ] I'd be very very surprised if both of them together are worth 1/2 of what Baldwin is worth |

someone in another thread said last year he sold 30 mil of stock. someone else said you could look up exactly how much he is worth, but im too lazy for that. [/ QUOTE ] Ever wondered how much our casino execs make? Let's just say that no matter how high the price of gas goes, these guys will be able to afford it. According to a recent newspaper report, the five highest paid executives of publicly traded companies in Las Vegas are: Frank Fertitta, Station Casinos, $42.8 million; Bobby Baldwin, MGM Mirage, $38.5 million; Bill Boyd, Boyd Gaming, $37.9 million; Terry Lanni, MGM Mirage, $31.5 million; and John Redmond, MGM Mirage, $29.6 million. The dollar figures include short- (salary) and long-term (stock and options) compensation. http://www.reviewjournal.com/lenny/2006/0712.html |
