Re: Lock of the week.
Great job, Oregon.
I will pat myself on my back for my alma mater winning easily against Western Michigan. They are 2-0 while Michigan is 0-2. |

Re: Lock of the week.
Just on the general concept of a real lock, I have had a few spreads that I felt that way about. Most recently was LSU at whatever the number was against Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl last year. The talent level was so disparate and the matchups were so favorable that I just knew LSU was winning by at least 20.
Also, I did hit my LOTW last week, so let me add Georgia Tech -6.5 for this week. (Don't think it's available any more, but I posted it in the NCAAF thread when I bet it, so too bad.) |

By my count, LOTW's are 7-11 so far in this thread. [/ QUOTE ] Lol I'm going to call Pittsburgh -9.5 vs. Buffalo right now. Typically I like to fade the "opening day overeactions" in week 2, but I do not believe this is one of them. I guess there are varying opinions on Denver. To me they're a solid team but far from great. They had a QB making his 6th career start, a reliable kicker who missed two FG's, and gave up a special teams TD, and committed the only turnover of the game in the redzone (save from a meaningless int on the last play of the 1st half). You have to be a real doormat to lose that game at home, which of course the Bills managed to do getting outgained 3-1 in the process. Their already weak defense suffered several injuries to boot including half of the starting secondary. I really think Parker will go for 200yds in this game. On the other side it's a nightmare matchup against a blitzing defense that's virtually impossible to run on. The only way I can see this being close is Roethlisburger throwing 3 picks and/or the Bills Special teams creating multiple scores. |
