They have a lot of responsibilities beyond what might be typical for runners, though. To me at least it appears that a couple of our most experienced runners do more than the traders. I mean, it seems clear to me that these guys have valuable years of experience, and should easily be worth more than $50 an hour (which would be about 100,000 a year). On the other hand, I'm sure there are a lot of runners that don't do much at all and probably never will. (I currently seem pretty worthless.
