Lots of other people make that comment/excuse, but I'm pretty sure Imus didn't, at least not prior to his termination. Who cares, I don't think he should've lost his job, but he's kind of a scumbag anyways so it's not a loss. [/ QUOTE ] He did. It was part of his apology. He said something like "that word (ho) didn't come from my community, it came from their's. glorified by rappers ' [/ QUOTE ] so he stated clear, concise facts.

But that really doesn't mitigate the fact that he called them whores and they did nothing to deserve that. I don't think rappers specifically single out individuals and call the whores. But, I could be wrong. I don't listen to much of that crap
